Hubbers Who Have Been My Support System: Installment Nineteen
Really? Installment Nineteen?
Yes indeed, installment nineteen has arrived. Better late than never I always say…..well, I don’t always say that, but it sounds good for this situation. I have simply been busy kicking out hubs and some things slipped my mind. Advanced age will do that to you sometimes.
In this case I got busy and forgot to say thank you once again to the incredible people who keep my writing dream afloat. I can’t speak for all of you out there; I can only tell you how I feel about this incredible writing community called HubPages. My experience has been unbelievable and I have no doubt it will continue.
Perhaps I should explain why it has been incredible. When I started out on HP I had no confidence in my writing ability. I enjoyed writing, but I had been avoiding joining a writing community mainly because I did not want to get torn to shreds by “real writers.” I just knew that once they saw my junk they would tear me a new one and send me on my way.
It turns out I could not have been more wrong. What I found was a group of giving people who supported me from the very beginning, and gave me nothing but encouragement. That was nine months ago, and I gotta tell you, my first few hubs were horrible. I have no idea why anyone read them, let alone took the time to comment and encourage. They did, however, do just that, and eventually my writing became better and my confidence grew, all because of a handful of unselfish and supportive writers who decided I was worth following.
So now it’s my turn to give back, and for eighteen installments I have been supporting those who have supported me. For me, HubPages is not a competition. There are those who treat it as one, but it certainly is not for me. I am a writer, you are a writer, and writers should support each other. Period!
And so here is my latest installment of support! I hope some of you will reach out to these fine writers and give them some Hub Love.
Down on the Farm
Rachel is a 24-year old bundle of energy who firmly believes in a self-sustaining lifestyle and who subscribes to my Living Simple approach to life. How could I not like her?
Would you like to learn about raising chickens? Sure you would, and everything you need to know can be found here http://farmerrachel.hubpages.com/_2kxahfxxz113e/hub/Raising-Chickens-for-Eggs-or-Meat-Basic-Guide .
Why do I like Rachel? I guess because she understands the value of hard work, and she appreciates the simple things in life…..and because she supports me of course. J
Sasha Is Her Name
And what a sweetheart she is, as well as a devoted wife, mother and very good writer. Her Hub name is Mama Kim; don’t ask because I don’t know what it refers to. All I know is I like her. She is one of those people you instantly like, and I invite you to take a look at her profile at http://mamakim8.hubpages.com/. She tells us on her profile that her wonderful husband and her kids mean the world to her. Do you need to know anything else about her?
Well, if you do, I can tell you that her recipes are to die for. Find out for yourself! You won’t be disappointed.
Have Faith in This Hubber
Yes, corny indeed, but Faith is one sincere, genuine human being, and I love having her as a follower. If you want uplifting, then Faith is your person. I do know her real name but I’ll leave it to her to tell you if she wants to. What I can tell you is this is a woman who is devout and compassionate, and that’s a pretty good foundation to build on.
You can find Faith Reaper at http://faithreaper.hubpages.com/. She has worked with the homeless and the downtrodden, and she walks her talk each and every day of her life. If you want to meet someone who believes in the goodness of mankind, then this is the lady you should meet.
7777, I Know Not What It Means
But if you put the name Carol before those numbers, then you have Carol7777 and you have a friend of mine who is as faithful as they come.
Carol is a relative newcomer but she has her feet beneath her now and she has hit the ground running. Check out http://carol7777.hubpages.com/hub/How-I-Wrote-a-Successful-Book-and-an-Unsuccessful-Book to read about her experiences writing a book. Very informative as are all of her hubs. She is a bit eclectic in her Hubs, covering a wide-range of topics, and that just makes her very interesting to me as she shares her life experiences with us.

Oh my that was my worst yet, and what a way to introduce my good friend Linda! On HP she is known as Irc7815, and she has rapidly become one of my better online friends. We have somehow become kindred spirits in that strange way people connect on the internet. We seem to think the same thoughts, and randomly toss around the same ideas with regards to Hubs, and it’s almost spooky.

Sit With Me Awhile
More Later Provided I Remember
I know, using my age as an excuse is weak, but it’s the only excuse I have, so cut me some slack.
I want to sincerely thank all of you who follow me. I am the most grateful Hubber on HubPages. Through the support of all of you I have found my new passion, and each of you have given me the encouragement that I need to keep writing. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!
